Talk about what people who have a religion do.

 

Some people follow a religion. Others don't.

People who are religious have faith, and they try to follow the teachings of their religion.

Christians and Catholics attend church.

They study the Bible with fellow churchgoers, and do community service.

Buddhist learn about Buddhist teachings at temples, and present offerings to Buddha.

An advantage of practicing a religion is that you can maintain good relationships with other people of faith.

# Pattern Practice

There are many advantages to practicing a religion.

You can maintain good relationships with other people.
I try to maintain a good relationship with my co-workers.
It's hard to maintain a good relationship with someone who is so stubborn.

3) person of faith 신앙인
You can meet other people of faith when you have a religion.
My mom is a person of faith, but my dad is a atheist.
I want to marry a person of faith.

Talk about what you do as a religious person.

 

I am a Catholic. I was baptized recently at Myeongdong Cathedral.

I chose Veronica as my baptismal name.

Each Sunday, I go to church at 10 in the morning to attend mass.

During mass, I look back on my life during the past week.

I resolve to live an upstanding life.

After mass, I attend a gathering to study the Bible.

As a person of faith, I will pray more and live as God preached in my day-to-day life.

I also hope to go on pilgrimages and visit world-famous cathedrals.

I usually brush my teeth before I attend a gathering.
I dress differently when I attend a gathering.

3) day-to-day life 일상생활
As a person of faith, I will live as God preached in my day-to-day life.
There's nothing special about my day-to-day life.
I travel when I get bored of my day-to-day life.

A: Do you have a religion?
B: I'm Christian, and my wife is a Buddhist.
A: Oh, isn't it inconvenient to have different religions?
B: Not at all. We have boundaries.

A: 너희는 종교가 있니?
B: 나는 기독교인이고, 아내는 불교 신자야.
A: 그렇게 종교가 서로 다르면 불편하지 않아?
B: 전혀 안 그래. 우리는 서로 선을 지켜.
