Students in elementary, middle and high school take a break from classes for most of January.

Of course, many students go to cram schools during vacation and carry on their studies.

Others learn arts and physical education like piano or taekwondo.

College students often take part-time jobs during vacation.

They buy things on their wish list or travel using the money they earn.

College seniors often study at private academies for language tests or certification exams.

I also remember going to arts and computer science academies to learn things during winter vacation.

We also had vacation homework, which I did by cramming all at once right before classes began.

During winter break in college, I earned a part-time income by tutoring young students.

I used the money I earned to buy clothes, and sometimes go on skiing trips with my friends.
