(2020.02.28)

# STEP 1

Talk about the last time you went to a zoo.

My kids are growing by the day.

On weekends, we usually go out somewhere.

We make the trip occasionally, since there is a zoo not too far away.

It's a learning experience for the kids as they see all the animals.

They are fascinated by the tigers and elephants, which they usually only see in books.

There is a petting zoo where they can feed and pet goats and sheep.

They really get into it, so it's a great way to pass the time.

I'm glad there's a zoo close by that I can visit with my kids.

# STEP 2

Personally, I feel bad for the animals that are caged up at zoos.

Many animals in the wild are going extinct due to habitat destruction and indiscriminate poaching.

There are many endangered species as a result.

But I don't think the animals in zoos are living the life, either.

They have to spend their lives in one place.

The zookeepers take good care of the animals, providing food and treatment.

But I still think the animals belong in the wild.

As I see it, zoos only exist for their entertainment value.
