There are many stars in the entertainment industry.

Stars include singers, comedians, actors, and TV personalities.

They become famous based on public interest.

Celebrities that have a good public image receive love and support from their fan base.

Thanks to their likability, they appear in ads.

However, they put up with a lot because they are public figures.

They suffer from invasions of privacy and malicious comments online.

These days, Youtubers with lots of subscribers have joined the ranks of celebrities and stars.

연예계에는 많은 스타들이 있다. 가수, 개그맨, 배우, 방송인 등 다앙한 스타들이 있다. 이들은 대중의 관심을 받으며 인지도를 얻게 된다. 이미지가 좋은 연예인들은 팬들로부터 많은 사랑과 지지를 받는다. 이러한 호감도로 인해 광고에도 출연한다. 그러나 공인인 탓에 여러 가지 고충도 감내해야 한다. 사생활이 침해되는 경우도 있고, 인터넷 상에서 익의적인 글들의 공격을 받을 때도 있다. 요즘은 많은 구독자들을 보유하고 있는 유튜버들이 이러한 스타들의 반열에 동참하고 있다.

Talk about a star you really like.

 

I thought I was through with following celebrities since my teenage years.

But recently, I have gotten into a band.

I was flipping through the channels when I saw them performing.

I felt moved in a way I can't explain.

I really liked the sweet vocies of the two vocals.

The instruments all came together fantastically.

The performance shattered my perception that cellos aren't fit for band music.

Finding myself so happy thanks to celebrities, I felt like a teenager again.

I hope to hear a lot of their music in the years to come.

연예인을 좋아하는 건 10대 이후에 끝냈다고 생각했었다. 그랬던 내가 최근에 한 밴드에 폭 빠지게 되었다. 무심코 TV 채널을 돌리다가 그들이 공연하는 모습을 보았다. 말로 표현할 수 없는 감동이 밀려왔다. 두 보컬들의 감미로운 목소리가 정말 좋았다. 함께 조화를 이루는 악기 연주도 환상적이었다. 첼로가 밴드 음악과 어울리지 않을 거라는 편견을 완벽하게 깬 무대였다. 연예인을 보며 행복해하는 자신을 바라보며, 다시 10대 때로 돌아간 듯한 느낌이 들었다. 앞으로 그들의 음악을 많이 듣게 되길 비란다.

B: Really? He's so handsome! Did you take a picture with him?
A: No. I couldn't ask. I was too star-stuck.
B: That's a shame. Did you at least get his autograph?

A: 내가 말했던가? 나 어제 배우 프래드 비트 봤다.
B: 진짜? 완전 잘생겼잖아! 같이 사진 찍었어?
A: 아니, 물어보지도 못했어. 연예인 앞이라 너무 긴징했어.
