[Opic] People You like or Dislike

I like people who are humble.(=modest)
Even if someone is very successful, I can't warm to them if they are arrogant. *warm to <someone> ~가 좋아지다
I also like people who take care of themselves. *take care of oneself 자기 관리를 잘하는 사람
When I see people who work out regularly, it seems like they have it together. *have it together 자기 관리를 잘하다, 삶이 잘 정돈되어 있다
I like that.
Also, I'm drawn to people who know a lot about various topics. *be drawn to ~에 끌리다
Bookworms usually know a lot.
I learned a lot when I talk to them.
Finally, I like people who are passionate.
When I see people who are passionate about what they do, it inspires me to be that way, too.

1) warm to  ~에게 좋은 마음이 들다, 좋아지다
I didnt' warm to him until our 3rd date.
We warmed to each other right away.

2) take care of oneself  자기관리하다
Successful people all take care of themselves.
Evenryone takes care of themselves in different ways.

3) inspire 영감을 주다
The lecture inspired me to travel to Europe.
This book inspired me to become an architect.

I like people who are honest.
People who lie or tell tall tales about themselves rub me the wrong way. *tell tall tales 과장된 이야기를 하다*rub someone the wrong way ~의 마음에 들지않다, 거슬리다
Relationships are built on trust.
If I know that someone has lied, I can't trust that person.
That's why I strongly dislike liars.
Next, I dislike people who are not punctual.
I think people who are habitually late and who can't keep a deadline are pathetic.
Finallly, I dislike people who talk ill of others.
Everyone talks about other people, but there are some people who badmouth others everytime they talk.
Those people get on my nerves. *get on someone's nerves (=get under my skin) ~의 신경에 거슬리다, 짜증나게하다
I think it's better to always see people in a positive light. *see someone in a positive way ~를 긍정적으로 보다

1) rub someone the wrong way ~의 마음에 들지않다
His voice/jokes rubs me the wrong way.

2) keep the deadline 마감시간을 지키다 (<-> miss the deadline)
We had to work all night to keep the deakline
You can trust her to keep a deadline.

3) (to) talk ill of others ~를 헐뜯다, 험담하다
I don't want to talk ill of someone who isn't here.
I try not to talk ill of anyone.
