2020.03.26

# Study Group Questions

1. Why do you think some people dislike ordering on automated screens?
2. Do you think automated screens are intended to benefit stores or customers?
3. Discuss some other innovations you would like to see in restaurants.

# SPEECH PRACTICE

Talk about automated ordering systems at restaurants.

Automated ordering systems are quite common these days at restaurants and cafes.
More and more, they are becoming widespread.

Customers place their orders themselves using a touchscreen.

They also settle the bill on the spot.

The order is automatically relayed to the kitchen.

The customer takes a number, and goes to pick up their food or drink when their number is called.

These automated systems allow businesses to reduce personnel.

It helps business owners because they can cut down on costs.

The customer can also see photos of their food  when they order.

It looks like the number of businesses using automated ordering will continue to climb.
