# STEP 1

Talk about the heating system in Korea.

In western countries, it's customary to heat a home by using hot air.
But houses in Korea use a unique heating system.
Pipes are installed under the floor, and hot water flows through the pipes.
The warm floor then heats up the air inside.
As the air circulates, the room temperature becomes warmer.
People can set the temperature differently for each room.
This unique heating method at Korean homes goes back hundreds of years.
