[Opic] Problems with Delivery

<Package Delivery>

I recently ordered a blanket online.

*blanket 이불
The package usually arrives in a few day's time when I shop online, so that's what I expected.

*in a few day's time 몇일이면, 몇일 이내에
But even after a week, the blanket didn't arrive.
I tracked the order online.
It was still being prepared.

It turns out the blankets are made to order.
*made to order 맞춤주문
They take a long time to ship.
I had to wait two weeks before mine finally was delivered to me.
Ever since then, I closely check the estimated shipping time when I buy things online.
It has become a habit. (of mine)

1) in a few day's time 몇 일 안에

I ca a cold but i got better ina
I think we can finish it in a few day's time.

2) track an order 주문 조회하다
You need to know the tracking number to track an order.

3) become a habit
I was afraid that it would become a habit, so I stopped all together.

<Food Delivery>

Last weekend, I decided to order delivery for lunch. (=order in some food)
I used the food delivery app to order the food.
The estimated delivery time was 60 minutes, so I waited.
But no matter how long I waited, there was no sign of the food.

*no matter how long I waited 아무리 오래 기다려도
I called the service center for the delivery app.
They apologized for the delay.
The deliveries were running late because there weren't enough delivery drivers.
They explained that they were swamped with the orders because of the rain.
*be swamped with the orders 주문 때문에 정신이 없다, 굉장히 바쁘다
To make it up to me, they said they would send me a discount coupon that I can use in the app.
90 minutes after I placed the order, my food finally arrived.

*place an order=make an order 주문하다

1) no sign of <something> 기미가 보이지 않는다
there is no sign of him whenever ~~~
There is no sign of any errors in the program.

2) be running late 늦어지고 있다
I called to tell her that  I was running late.
We were running late,  so we took a taxi.

3) to make it up 보상/보답하기 위해
I bought some roses to make it up to her.
You can make it up to me by helping with this report.

A: When is the food going to arrive?
B: They said the delivery person has left.
A: It's about time. - 진작 (출발)했었어야지. 이제서야 했다니.

It's been almost an hour since we made an order.
