I am regretful for the way I treated him.

We are regretful for the rude comments we made.

 

from now on / 이제부터, 지금부터 (계속)
From now on, we will be more careful.

You must report to me directly from now on.

 

refrain from -ing / ~하는 것을 자제하다

Please refrain from smoking during the entire flight.

They tried to refrain from acting impulsively.

I am so regretful for what I have said and done to my coworkers.

Thought I didn't mean any of the things I said, I can see why they were seriously offended. 

(*I can see ~ / ~을 이해하다)

Now I know I should think twice before I say something that could hurt someone else's feelings.

I promise you will never hear such complaints about me from now on.

I will refrain from acting thoughlessly and rectify my shortcomings.
