한국은 소고기를 제법 많이 소비하는 나라이다. 가장 흔하게 소고기를 섭취하는 방법은 구워서 먹는 것이다. 집에서 석쇠에 구워 먹는 경우도 있고, 고깃집에 가서 먹는 경우도 있다.
한국 사람들이 가장 좋아하는 소고기는 한국 고유의 품종인 한우이다. 미국, 호주, 뉴질랜드 등지에서 소고기를 많이 수입하기도 한다. 가격 면에서는, 수입산 소고기가 한우보다 더 저렴하다. 그러나 한우가 한국 사람들의 입맛에 가장 잘 맞기 때문에 인기가 높다.
